The Journey

De Manne launches his career in May 2022 with debut EP The Avenue, and the singles "You Are My Type" (feat. Merveille Onguenet) and "Avenue."

Release of Dola Trilogy: one song in Electropop, Amapiano and Afro-Latin treatments, with the video shot in Conakry, Guinea. At the SGBC Awards he takes home two trophies, Jeu Buzz and Best New Comer. A One Heart Acapella version of "You Are My Type" follows. In December, The Post, one of Cameroon's most respected independent newspapers, puts him on its front page as a "multi-talented rising star" for the Dola Trilogy release.

Two new singles and the short film "Hookup Valentine." In April he performs live at the Cameroon Music Evolution Awards at Buea Mountain Hotel, nominated for Best Diaspora Artist alongside Tayc, Libianca and Jbwai. At CIMFEST he is nominated Revelation of the Year and performs at Molyko Stadium, Buea. The Molyko+ Viewers Award names "You Are My Type" Most Streamed Video, with a second nomination for Best Diaspora Male Artist. He closes the year at the Starfish Diversity Festival in December, and sits down with Sweet FM and MMPrime's Maloko along the way.

The year opens on 4 January at Krystal Palace Hotel, Douala, performing for the 30th anniversary of the ASOBEXS94 association. In March he is a guest on CRTV's Cameroun Feeling, Cameroon's national broadcaster, and Afrobit's Morning Show. The double single "No Boundaries" feat. Phido and "God and Who?" feat. D'Apostle pushes the sound further outward.

The current chapter: an Afro-fusion EP that arrives as a declaration of identity, purpose and conviction. The moment the whole journey was building toward.
